Forge of Origin ("we", "us") operates the website forgeoforigin.com (the "Site"). This page explains what data we collect, why, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Data We Collect

Account data — if you register, we store your email address and username via Supabase (our authentication provider). Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text.
Saved builds — builds you save to your account are stored in our database linked to your user ID.
Ko-fi supporter email — if you verify a Ko-fi subscription, we store the email address you provide to confirm your supporter status.
Usage data — we collect anonymous page view analytics via Cloudflare Web Analytics. No cookies are used for this and no personal data is collected.
Ad data — non-supporters see ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to serve personalised ads. See Google's privacy policy for details.

2. Cookies

We do not set first-party cookies. Google AdSense may set third-party cookies for ad personalisation. You can manage or opt out of these via the Google consent prompt shown on your first visit.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide account features (login, saved builds, supporter status)
To verify Ko-fi supporter subscriptions
To serve relevant ads to non-supporters via Google AdSense
To understand site traffic in aggregate (no personal tracking)

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with the following service providers necessary to operate the Site:

Supabase — authentication and database (EU region)
Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and anonymised analytics
Google AdSense — ad serving for non-supporters
Ko-fi — supporter payment processing

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time. Saved builds are deleted when you delete them or close your account. Short build links expire after one year.

6. Your Rights (GDPR / EEA)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction or deletion of your data
Object to or restrict processing of your data
Withdraw consent for ad personalisation at any time via the consent banner
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

7. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
